๐ฅ Dairy-Free Burger
โ Naturally: ๐ฅ Dairy-Free
Adaptable for: ๐พ Gluten-Free ๐ฅ Keto ๐ Paleo
Skip the cheese, not the flavor. Avocado and a bold sauce make this burger feel just as indulgent.
A dairy-free burger is more straightforward than people expect, because most of the classic condiments โ mayo, ketchup, mustard โ are already dairy-free (traditional mayo is egg-based, not dairy). The real culprits are the cheese, any butter used for basting or toasting, and a surprising number of brioche buns, which are often enriched with butter or a milk wash. Swap those three things and add avocado for the richness cheese would have brought, and nothing about this burger feels like it's missing something.

๐ฅ Make it fit your diet
Already Dairy-Free-friendly โ here's how to take it further:
๐พ Gluten-Free
Use a certified gluten-free bun or wrap it in crisp lettuce. Double-check sauces and seasoning blends โ soy sauce, some Worcestershire, and pre-mixed rubs can hide gluten.
๐ฅ Keto / Low-Carb
Go bun-less or lettuce-wrapped (a.k.a. protein-style), skip ketchup and BBQ sauce or use no-sugar-added versions, and pile on cheese, bacon, and avocado.
๐ Paleo / Whole30
Wrap it in lettuce (no bun), skip the cheese, and use compliant sauces with no added sugar, soy, or dairy. For Whole30, make sure any bacon is sugar-free.
